Sakata Salt is made by pumping up seawater, including underground water from Mt. Chokai, that springs out from Fukiura, boiling it in a pot to remove impurities, and then baking and polishing it. The special "twice-baked" method brings out the natural flavor. It is suitable for a variety of dishes. It is especially recommended for "seasoning meat dishes" and "seasoning" that goes well with red wine dishes.
