[Origin of the title]
This wine boasts a vibrant fragrance reminiscent of October's birthstone, pink tourmaline, and a shimmering pink-gold hue. The sweet aromas of lychee and rose are balanced with a pleasant acidity, and the taste offers a delightful combination of minerality and spiciness.
This wine was created with the hope of recovery from the earthquake, using 100% Pinot Grigio and Gewürztraminer grapes from our own vineyards rooted in the land of Akiu, Miyagi Prefecture.
The name "Cosmos," a seasonal flower, was chosen because it embodies the strength hidden within its delicate beauty.
Even if the stems of cosmos flowers are knocked down by strong winds, they will re-root and bloom even more magnificently.
May this wine, as beautiful and harmonious as a flower, gently encourage you as a symbol of rebirth and progress.

■What is Akiho Winery?

Akiho Winery was conceived in 2012 with the aim of reviving Miyagi's wine industry, which had been interrupted after the Great East Japan Earthquake, and supporting affected fishermen and farmers through wine and food pairings. It opened in 2015 by Chikafusa Mori.
Inspired by Mr. Mori's vision, the concept is "Terroir Tohoku," which fuses the local climate and natural features (terroir) with food pairings (mariage) 🍷🦪
The facility includes a shop, a cafe, and brewing equipment that can be viewed through glass. You can also purchase local specialties and goods from Miyagi and the Tohoku region.
At the restaurant "Terroir Akiho," you can enjoy lunch boxes, wine tastings, and pairing dinners while overlooking the vineyards. 🍽️
It's about a 30-minute bus ride from Sendai Station.
This winery, located in a hot spring town, offers a relaxing and enjoyable experience. ✨
