ワイン卵「ワインで彩幸卵」誕生

Wine-infused eggs, "Wine-infused Colorful Eggs," are born.

In collaboration with Wagatsuma Poultry Farm "Tamago no Wagatsuma-ya" in Zao Town, Miyagi Prefecture, we have created "Wine de Saikōran," eggs that utilize grape pomace as part of the feed.

This initiative is a new challenge to recycle grape pomace, a by-product of winemaking, as a resource.

The "Sai-ko Tamago with Wine" idea was conceived by Wagatsuma Poultry Farm, which produces "Sai-ko Tamago," a brand of eggs certified as a Miyagi Zao brand.
We incorporate grape pomace into our homemade fermented feed and carefully produce our eggs while monitoring the health of our chickens. The eggs are characterized by their rich yolks that don't leave a heavy aftertaste, allowing you to enjoy the true flavor of the egg.

Currently, it is used in the canelés and puddings on the sweets menu at "Terroir Akiu," the restaurant attached to Akiu Winery.

We will continue to actively pursue initiatives that make use of local resources.
