Akiho Merlot 2022 & 2023 now on sale!
Our "Akiho Merlot" wine, made from 100% grapes from our own vineyards, was released earlier in 2023, but in conjunction with yesterday's television broadcast (Kansai TV's "Shunkan LIVE Toretate!"), we have now launched it again.
We have started selling our products in stores and online shops for 2022.
The 2022 vintage is a wine that exhibits the characteristic tannins of Akiho Merlot.
In contrast, in 2023, due to the effects of weather such as extreme heat, the grapes were lighter in color than usual.
We have created a very light and elegant wine, with an overall balance in mind.
You can enjoy completely different colors and flavors, so we encourage you to try them side-by-side. Tastings are also available in-store.

In 2022, Ryohei Odai and Yujiro Shirakawa (from the group Junretsu) visited Akiho Winery for an NHK program and experienced harvesting grapes (Merlot).
After that, Mr. Odai visited Akiho Winery several times on other programs, and each time he tasted the wine and looked forward to its release.
